Ted Howard started this company in 1986 for a simple reason: he thought most painting outfits were rushing the prep and charging the same as the ones who didn’t. He figured if he did it right, people would notice. Forty years later, a good share of our work still comes from customers we painted for in the nineties, and from their kids.
We’re based at 245 South St. in Galion and we cover Central and North Central Ohio — Crawford, Richland, Morrow, Marion, Delaware counties and beyond. In a given week we might be repainting a farmhouse on Monday, coating a warehouse roof on Wednesday, and cleaning glass at a hotel on Friday.
The equipment came from listening. Customers asked if we could wash the brick before we painted it, so we bought pressure washers. They asked about the roof, so we learned coatings. They asked about the steeple and the light poles nobody could reach, so we bought a lift and trained on it. Today that range is what sets us apart — one insured
contractor who can handle the whole outside of a property.
We’re BBB accredited and fully insured, and we’ll hand you a certificate before we start without you having to ask. Ted still looks at most jobs himself. If something isn’t right, he’s the one who hears about it and the one who comes back to fix it.
Our goal has never been to be the biggest painting company in Ohio. It’s to be the one a property owner recommends without hesitating.
The part nobody sees decides how long the part everyone sees will last.
If a coating is wrong for your building, we'll tell you before you spend the money.
Scheduled start dates that we hold, and a phone number that gets answered.
Job site swept and tools packed at the end of every day, not the end of the week.
Ted’s crew coated the roof on our warehouse in two days and we haven’t had a drip since. They worked around our shipping schedule and cleaned up every night.
